Coordination and Development of Services for a New Digital Bank

In 2022, we launched a fruitful collaboration with one of Italy’s prominent banking groups (a name known globally), which we renewed in 2024.

The customer entrusted various teams within the SCAI Group to spearhead the definition and development of backend banking services linked to customer digital access—the Bank’s Digital Identity. This encompassed customisation operations and interactions with the Legacy systems involved in the initiative.

Thanks to these actions, the new digital bank operates entirely through a dedicated app, empowering users to conduct various transactions directly from their smartphones, eliminating the need for in-person branch visits.  

The project went through various phases, from outlining the new bank’s scope within the banking group’s services to navigating the entire development cycle—from defining requirements and validating them to adopting the services and components essential for the realisation of the new Digital Bank, which included the requested customisations.

The SCAI Group’s involvement initially began in the preliminary design phase related to development activities, focusing on coordinating and managing timelines and resources. The Group’s prompt and insightful interventions allowed the customer to maintain full control of the initiative and played a pivotal role in SCAI’s involvement in subsequent executive phases, post-March 2023.

The renewed collaboration materialised with the assignment to lead the second phase of development activities and facilitate the migration to the new Digital Bank, targeting over 3 million selected customers, all to be accomplished by March 2024.
