MYKEY
ONBOARDING
DEVOPS
In the context of Intesa Sanpaolo’s digital evolution, Gruppo SCAI has embarked on a pioneering project with the aim of revolutionising the customer Onboarding interface through the creation of web platforms specifically designed for the Private, Business, and Corporate segments. At the heart of this initiative, the requirement was to maximise the efficiency of the customer engagement process and accelerate identification procedures by adopting highly optimised and technologically advanced solutions.
Within Intesa Sanpaolo’s MyKey operational framework, the overriding task was to distil the customer acquisition process into a streamlined flow supported by customer encounter and verification systems based on video conferencing. This was done while also integrating recognition mechanisms such as the use of CRIF for facial assessment and detection and SPID (Public Digital Identity System) technology.
The operational core leading the initiative consisted of highly specialised figures: a Functional Analyst in charge of channelling business needs into detailed software requirements; an Agile Developer responsible for the iterative implementation of the product in accordance with sprint development paradigms; and a Solution Architect, whose expertise outlined the solution’s architectural structure.
To facilitate operational agility and development effectiveness, tools such as Azure DevOps and Darwin were adopted. These tools acted as cardinal points in supporting the software development life cycle in adherence to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles. The project’s focus included managing a multilingual software solution, thus facilitating the standardisation of the OnBoarding process internationally. The project focused on assimilating advanced technologies such as facial recognition systems via CRIF and national SPID-based digital authentication systems for a consistent and secure customer identification process. To ensure a global reach and meet the needs of an international customer base, software with multilingual interfaces was introduced while at the same time embracing a Cloud-First philosophy, consistent with Intesa Sanpaolo’s cloud adoption agenda and GDPR for data processing.
The results for Intesa Sanpaolo are translated into tangible gains in terms of effectiveness and agility in the customer acquisition process, with simplified, centralised and perspicuous OnBoarding in an internationally expanding offering thanks to the multilingual software setup. The application of the Agile methodology and the DevOps processes adopted significantly impacted the quality and stability of the distributed software, providing a solid basis for future product scaling and Agile adaptation to evolutionary requirements. The implementation of this project redefined the standard of excellence in OnBoarding procedures, placing Intesa Sanpaolo in a pre-eminent position in the digital banking landscape. Applying innovative practices and high standards has made it possible for Sanpaolo to reap indispensable benefits such as increased productivity in the customer acquisition chain and a superior user experience fostered by homogenised OnBoarding across customer classes.
