In cooperation with ESET, Gruppo SCAI provided solutions to a major insurance broker operating in the Middle East, addressing its critical needs for security and the safeguarding of high-priority data containing sensitive information about its internal organisation.
The project focused on the integration of the Safetica Data Loss Prevention solution, a robust technology designed to prevent costly data breaches and loss incidents.
Safetica includes a full suite of customised functions to meet any organisation’s specific security needs.
The implementation process started with an initial meeting at the customer’s premises, followed by several sessions to illustrate the complete installation and to involve the customer in the activities. This made it possible to ensure that the solution would suit its preferences, selected according to the level of security and adjusted according to the intended ease of use of the solution.
One of Safetica’s main features is its ability to prevent files from being sent incorrectly, which is essential to ensure that important documents do not fall into the wrong hands. Another key plus: it is able to keep employee-owned devices under control, preventing unauthorised data transfers while safeguarding key information within the company’s secure area, preventing its misuse or leakage to competitors.
In addition to being able to prevent social engineering attacks and extortion attempts in their initial stages, its integration also made it possible to encrypt data to prevent their unauthorised use, thus ensuring that in the event of loss or theft of laptops or flash drives they remain encrypted and unreadable by unauthorised persons.
Its implementation has also helped the client manage resources by controlling the use of printers, applications and limiting excessive online activities, thus simultaneously improving productivity and security. With this solution, the insurance broker is now able to effectively protect itself against potential security breaches and data loss incidents, thus reducing financial and brand reputation risks.
The successful implementation satisfied the insurance broker in particular for its ease of use and the seamless integration of the platform into the existing infrastructure.
